Heirloom Cross and Shield Blanket
Wool, woven in two long panels in a tapestry weave to create the pattern, then sewn up the middle, matching both panels exactly, to establish the protective shield in the center. Tapestried crosses in each corner remind of the connecting place which our hearts seek. Maybe it should be called the Love and Protection blanket. In any case, this one is with hand knotted fringes. More involved tapestry designs will require more time.
